Nathan Frost is totally focused on getting the very best product available in the lines it offers and so had to go to Scandinavia for its herring - the biggest herring producers, exporters and eaters in the world!!
(Though our Jewish style Matjes, Bismarks and Rollmops are shipped in from Holland as the Swedes don't do them)
Kladesholmen is a small fishing town on a tiny island in Sweden that has been fishing, preserving, marinating and of course, selling herring for hundreds of years dating back to 1594 when the locals would take their boats down stream and sell the herring they'd caught to the many villages that existed in those times.
Today, this small fishing town produces 1 jar of arguably the world's finest herring every second!
We were both delighted and honoured when Kladesholmen rewarded Nathan Frost with exclusive rights to market and sell this truly outstanding product and brand throughout the UK.
